Sample Additional Practice Exercise 1

Count the moons and then write the number of moons under each picture.

3 pictures with a number written under each picture. The first picture shows, moon, moon. The number 2 is under the picture. The second picture shows, moon, moon, moon. The number 3 is under the picture. The third picture shows, moon. The number 1 is under the picture.

Count the moons in the first picture: 1, 2. Write 2 under that picture. Count the moons in the second picture: 1, 2, 3. Write 3 under that picture. Count the moons in the third picture: 1. Write 1 under that picture.

HOME ACTIVITY

MATERIALS

Index Cards, Pencil ACTIVITY

Draw groups of 1, 2, and 3 circles on 3 index cards. Have your child write the correct number on the back of each card. Then use the cards to practice counting and reading the numbers 1, 2, and 3.
