CONNECT THE MATH

You can connect the math in this topic to everyday experiences. Draw attention to teen numbers you and your child see in your home or when you are out. Have your child tell you the parts of the teen number. For example, a shirt might have a $13 price tag. The number 13 can be decomposed into 10 and 3.
