Create a Problem

ACTIVITY

Rewatch the Act 1 video with your child. Ask your child what question they wondered when they first saw the video. Share what you noticed and wondered when you watched. 

 

Together, choose an interesting question related to the video in Act 1. It may be your child’s question, your question, or a question they liked from the class discussion. Have your child make a prediction to answer this question. Have them identify any additional information needed to solve the problem. Then ask them to explain how they would model with math to solve the problem if they had that additional information.
